This year’s Rigpa Summer Retreat will be held at the North Coast TAFE and Secondary College in Tuncurry.

The venue has modern facilities that meet our needs and requirements in holding the retreat. The TAFE also has a strong emphasis on sustainability and community partnerships.

All the rooms are undercover and most of them are also air-conditioned. In addition, the venue is private and security is guaranteed.

The main hall seats approximately 1,000 people.

It also has a substantial stage area for Rinpoche and the Shrine.

The meditation shrine room can seat about 170 people. There are also a large number of break-out areas under cover, so we can chat with friends.
There are a number of outdoor areas set aside for chatting or working in small groups and the venue is well serviced for wheelchairs with ramps and accessible entrances.
There is also ample parking.

9-Mile Beach is accessible to the campus via a bush path, perfect for picnic lunches, walking and dipping. It is an unpatrolled beach so please be careful if you choose to swim.

There are also two wonderful rock pools for swimming – one at Forster Main Beach and the second, near the Tuncurry-Forster bridge, on the estuary. Check out all the local beaches on www.beachsafe.org.au
